Hard to know exactly what to say about Aimee Ann's Redheaded Booklover blog. It's a commercial review blog that covers some trad print titles, but mostly self published books like Badly Cut Up. Aimee says she only reviews books she likes and her review definitely runs to the gushy but there's something charmingly unpretentious about her style and who can resist the nice things she says, even about a book as dark and bloody as Badly Cut Up?
This is a bit of the review: "Badly Cut Up is an action-packed, emotive and exciting thriller that managed to keep me hooked and enthralled from start to finish thanks to the explosive plot and exceptional writing... The author of Badly Cut Up, D.C. Harold is a fantastic author for many reasons, but one of the core reasons is that he was able to grab my attention very quickly at the start of the novel. With most books, it takes a while for the author to capture my attention but not with Harold, oh no, he knew exactly what to write to have me hooked and what a ride it was. The twists and turns alone are noteworthy because they were so shocking as well as unpredictable, I love unpredictable stories where the story is continuously evolving so Badly Cut Up indeed was the perfect read for me.Overall Badly Cut Up is a book that entertained and thrilled me from beginning to end..."
